​Evasion and relationship to the land.

​With this series, the artist is exploring his relationship with landscape and vast terrain. The idea of “Zaohua” (造化) was inspiring to him. It is an ancient Chinese concept meaning both nature and the act of creation itself — the force that shapes mountains, carves rivers, and gives form to all things. It implies that nature is not passive scenery but an active, generative artist. For him, creating must be playful, it’s a celebration of the materiality of paint, of his connection to the land, to the elements, to fugitive sensations. He feels deeply connected to the sensitive memories he preciously collected on his journey.
